Despite stiff competition from Dream Girl, the film has made Rs 9.42 crore.Chhichhore is a college drama which has Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead.Watch the trailer of Dream Girl here:Though the film has already made Rs 83.59 crore, it received mixed reviews from critics.Sushant and Shraddha were particularly not praised for their performances in the film. Our reviewer Vibha Maru gave the film 2.5 out of 5 stars. She wrote, “Sushant’s performance as the middle-aged father is nothing less than a caricature. Even when the doctor explains to him his son’s condition, he sits there with a blank expression. He sobs, tries to wipe his tear-less eyes, but just fails to convince the audience that he is heartbroken.”She added, “Shraddha, as Maya, isn’t much convincing either. The actress has one expression for every mood, and by now, we have seen too much of that one expression. Along with that, the film’s script also limits her character to being just a pretty face who is always present to cheer for her boyfriend from the stands.”Chhichhore Movie ReviewThe film is Nitesh Tiwari’s second directorial venture. Earlier, he directed Aamir Khan’s Dangal. Nitesh is an IIT Bombay alumni and it seems he has brought in some of his real-life experiences in the film. The film is a hit among college students and the word-of-mouth publicity has also helped it set the cash registers ringing.ALSO READ | Chhichhore box office collection Day 8: Sushant Singh Rajput film eyes Rs 100 croreALSO READ | Chhichhore review by Varun Dhawan: What an amazing film with a beautiful messageALSO WATCH | Sushant Singh Rajput felt cheated at engineering college because there were no girlsGet real-time alerts and all the news on your phone with the all-new India Today app. Download from
